18. *"IMRIK" PUDDING.
IMRIK HELVA.
Ingredients:
Butter .............................3 tablespoonfuls.
Imrik......................................1 cupful.
Sugar ......................................1 cupful.
Lukewarm Water .............................1 cupful.
Method:
This pudding is prepared in like manner as the Flour Pudding, described in the
foregoing recipe, with the exception that when the sugar and the lukewarm water
are added, and absorbed by the "Cream of Wheat," the vessel is at once covered
with a piece of white muslin, and the lid placed on. This prevents the steam
dropping into the Helva, in the form of water. And when, after a few minutes,
the cooking begins, it should then be stirred with a spoon until well done.
*"Imrik" may be substituted with Cream of Wheat.
